Colour workshop for all skill levels using immersion dyeing and direct application of natural dye as a paint.

Each one-day workshop will focus on one colour family. We will talk about the history of that colour and complete immersion dyed pieces using 4 different local and non-local plants. We will also make a dye paint and directly apply the dye to fabric.

Max 6 people for each workshop. All supplies are provided, you will go home with a set of 4 napkins and a dye sample bundle to start a reference book for future dye reference. Bundles will include silk, cotton, wool and linen.

Location: Porters Lake NS, This session will take place at Joanna Close’s home studio on Porters Lake.
